Everyone knows that negative stereo-type of a recruiter...Liz proved to me there are definitely some very good ones out there.
I was very impressed with the way Liz treated me; she was friendly whilst always sounding sincere and committed to doing everything she could for me and my job search. Her knowledge and understanding of the role/sector was clear and the feedback she offered on my presentation for my interview was intelligent, relevant and much appreciated.
Sometimes it is the small things that make the difference - for me it was the fact that Liz adapted the relationship to what worked best for me. So often when you are job hunting you see tons of missed calls and voice mails with recruiters insisting you call them back immediately, only to realise they are ringing about a job that doesn't suit your needs at all. Liz did call, but only when it was necessary, instead she realised emails were a far better communication method for me (especially whilst I was at work) and as such she was very easy to communicate with. Obviously she was also there on the end of the phone if needed.
Carrot seem like an excellent recruitment company with brilliant staff who have the right attitude. I was confident they had my best interests in mind and ultimately they helped me to negotiate a great new job which is the beginning of a new chapter in my life.
